If you shine the light directly on the white paper, it immediately turns purple. But if you put the glasses between the light and the paper, the paper stays white! To me, that proves it is working. I have many readers as I work on the computer all day, and they felt right when i put them on. I have not had a scratch yet. One pair stays in the kitchen by my computer without a case and no scratches noted so far. I really like the blue tint on my iphone and computer screen.
