Been wearing distance-only contacts, -3.75 for 50 years only using single-vision distance glasses if I had an eye infection or injury. Bought my last pair for about $400 about 30 years ago, lol. I don't need any glasses at all for reading distance so I had been using only 1/mono distance contact lens for about 10 years and nothing in the other eye so I could easily read the smallest print and still see down the road to drive and watch tv. If I am wearing single vision -3.75 distance-only glasses I must constantly take them off to read or see to do anything close up. My biggest problem was seeing the computer distance clearly.I was so hesitant to order these thinking I could only use something like super expensive progressives or glasses with mono vision similar to my contacts. After much research, I guessed what my computer-distance glasses might be and took a $17 returnable chance on -2.0.Wow is all I can say! Wished I had ordered them a long time ago!I can see everything clearly... close up, computer and across the room to the tv without constantly removing my glasses! For me they are not perfect for reading a lot of very tiny small print but good enough I don't have to remove them constantly while working on the computer for hours and doing regular paperwork. I believe they are good enough to drive around to run routine errands where it is not critical to be able to read very distant road signs. These are decent looking, super lightweight and very comfortable! No idea how they will hold up but I doubt I'll be roughhousing in them and they are so inexpensive and only a day or 2 away to reorder. Thank you Amazon for helping out us nearsighted folks! The cheapest glasses from an eye doctor are ridiculous and you certainly can't easily try out different prescriptions like reading glasses and return them.… (versus the far) intraocular lenses (IOLs). I’m thrilled with my excellent new close-up vision that the implants have given me, but everything about a yard away from me or more is increasingly blurry. I sit about 10 feet away from a 70” TV screen and not only are the images blurry, but I have a hard time reading the channel guide or really any printed words on the screen unless they’re rather large. I can’t get new prescription lenses until at least a month after my last eye surgery because they want to give your eyes enough time to heal before they determine your new prescription (and you invest hundreds in new glasses). You can’t buy “cheaters” for near-sightedness in stores (and in fact both my eye doctor and a gal working in a local vision shop told me they simply aren’t sold), so I was thrilled to find these online. One review I read said that you should go by your last eyeglass prescription to help you determine which strength to order, but that’s wrong, because my eyes now are nothing like they were before (I was naturally far-sighted). My husband suggested I just buy one in every strength and see which one works best for me, but I didn’t want to do that, so I asked my eye doctor the day after my last surgery what strength he thought I’d need. He guessed -2.0 to -2.5, but said he could be more precise after my eye has had more time to heal, in about a week. Well I didn’t want to wait more than a week while having everything more than a yard away from me being so blurry, so I went ahead and ordered the -2.0, and OMG! I’m seeing (and reading) the TV crystal clear now, and when my husband and I went out for a drive the other day (he drove), everything I saw was so sharp and clear, I was thrilled, and have no trepidation about driving again. Of course I have to take them off if I want to read, work on my laptop, do anything with my hands (such as prep food) or see anything up-close clearly, but these glasses are a Godsend, making my distant vision and my life so much better in the weeks that I have to wait to get my new progressive eyeglasses. BTW, these are shown online as clear, but I think that depends on the light they’re seen in. Mine tend to look more like a very light blue or lilac to me most of the time. They’re attractive enough for temporary glasses and extremely lightweight.I was in the same boat as the other reviewer, my Dr told me there were no glasses out there to help me with my distance after cataract surgery. Well these help define and clear up fuzzy distance enough that I can drive safely and didn't need him to put in a temporary contact in my one mostly healed eye. I am so relieved!!They work extremely well.I left them out in the sun on accident and the clear turned pinkPerfect for those who don't want to spend any money and get a prescription. My eyesight never changed since I was 17, so why bother. I love how big and light they are! They are so lightweight and so comfortable, I forget I’m wearing them! I took a chance and ordered the -1.00 after having cataract surgery with multi-focus lens implants. Although the surgery corrected my near vision (no more reading glasses for me), it left me with impaired distance vision. With these glasses, I’m seeing things far away that I had no idea I was missing out seeing before.! Highly recommend these distance glasses!Thank you thank you thank you for being one of the only stores that sells Near sighted glasses! Mine broke and have been needing new ones for a while but could not afford to go to the eye dr. They are perfect!Really pleased with the colour more autumn shades of Browns and oranges. Really lovely and lightweight suits probably most face shapes. Great value for the money the only thing missing would’ve been a little case to have kept them inNice pair of glasses! Cheap enough to buy a few pairs and not worry about them so much ! Quite accurate lenses also. Will definitely buy a few of these. Also fits comfortably around the nose bridge and stays in place. De super lunettes de dépannage vraiment !Je n'ai rien a dire je ne m'attendais pas a y voir aussi bien qu'avec des lunettes a 500$!MerciiiiiOkay, they are not as big as I would like. But the quality is amazing!!! I bought them as a replacement for my other pair and not only are they $250+ less but I prefer them to my old glasses. They are thiner, not as bulky, and very durable and light.I read a review about them constantly fogging up and that made me very hesitant to purchase.... But then I thought what the heck it's only $30 may as well risk it. OMG TOTALLY WORTH THE RISK!!! They only fog up a little from time to time depending on what face mask I'm wearing which is fine compared to my $250+ glasses. If you're debating it honestly may as well just get it. The price tag is really not much.Bought two pairs of these over the last 6 months and both ran into the same problem. After leaving the glasses in a warm car for an afternoon they developped tiny little fractures in the lenses. After the first pair did it I figured it was just a fluke and ordered another pair, but now that the second pair has met the same fate it's clearly an issue with the materials used.
