So we hit the Florida Panama City Beach on yellow and red flag days. It was quite windy. And this was our first time using the canopy. So there was a learning curve. The wind brought it down a few times. But after a day or two I figured it out! As it suggests, you need to bury the sand bags in the sand… DEEP in the sand. If you just bury the sands bags surface deep, yeah it’s not going to stay up on red or even yellow flag days. If you bury the sand bags deep enough that you cannot even see the sand bags, well then all I can say is the canopy stayed up for us after doing that. Now the canopy was rocking and rolling and I was fully expecting it to come down, but it never did after I buried the sand bags deep enough. There were wind gusts that made the canopy smack me on the top of my head while I was sitting in a chair under the canopy. But it didn’t come down.We were one of just a few with this style canopy. All the others were the according type that are big an bulky and would be a pain to carry down to the beach. Now those mostly held up well. Although one right next to us went from right side up to on its top in like half a second. And it would have kept rolling down the beach like tumbleweed if a couple of us didn’t jump up and grab it before it did. This type of canopy wouldn’t ever do that. It couldn’t do that. And it is so small and light weight and easy to carry down to the beach. So yeah, I recommend it. The one disappointment was I order the royal blue and got the turquoise. So I ordered another one and set the first one up to return. The second one came in and it was turquoise too! And it looked used as a foot was missing from one or two poles. And it didn’t look like it was packed all nice and tight like from the manufacturer. So since they were both turquoise we sent back the second one we received since it looked used and kept the first one we received and just settled for turquoise opposed to the royal blue I was hoping for.And the only reason I tried to get a royal blue one after receiving the wrong color in the first place was because I notice the price had dropped $15! The price went from $109 to $94. So instead of settling for the wrong color, so I thought, I would go ahead and order the right color for $15 less and all would be good. Well I still had to settle for the wrong color but for $15 less. So yeah that worked out well. Anyway, I do recommend. Although I would highly recommend buying a little hand garden shovel to use instead of the cheap thing that comes with the canopy. So buy it knowing that it can stay up even on windy red and yellow flag days at the beach.I love the PETNOZ beach tent! It is light to carry and easy to set up! I purchased several more for gifts for my family!!Our first attempt didn't go so well. After other reviews here are the keys. Fill the bags with sand, than add even more. They can take and need lots of sand. We put the filled sand feet in the holes that are created from digging the sand into the bag. Stretch the tent as far as you can on the ground first before standing it up. The tighter the material the more stable when up in the wind.We love it , looks great and easy to build togetherPerfect!!We had used our old pop up canopy in the past and that was so awkward. This is light, packs up into a tiny bag and holds up to the wind really well. Coverage was great too...bought one for our son as well.We have used our beach tent on the beach so many times and it’s amazing! I had taken to our “beach” at the lake to use and decided to try it as a extra canopy for shade on the boat…. It worked AMAZING! easy to set up and maintained with pretty decent winds! Definitely recommend!Not happy with appearance. My nephew had this and I loved it so I got one. He sent me the link so it was supposed to be the same but with the very first use the stitching came off and some seams will need to be resewn. It makes it look ratty. We didn’t even have it off the ground. Other than that it works great even in high wind.
