I bought this for a work trip to Nevada where I knew I would be spending a ton of time outside. Arc'teryx is a brand that I always trust and am impressed with. Their items are made with top quality material, they're well designed, and I never feel like I'm paying more than the item is worth. That being said, I wasn't sure how I felt about paying this much for a thin sun shirt...I was wrong! This shirt surpassed my expectations in many ways. It's suuuper lightweight and kept me cool and protected from the sun. I wore it for periods of up to 1 hr in the height of summer in the Nevada desert, and was pretty comfortable! I wasn't expecting to use the hood much, but it turned out to come in handy. The shirt also felt more stylish compared to other brand's sun shirts that I considered buying. I'd say if you're on the fence, give it a try!
