Description

The Park & Sun Sports Spectrum 2000 portable outdoor volleyball net system includes everything needed for a fun and competitive playing experience. It offers exceptional playing performance for outdoor tournaments, friendly gatherings at the park or even your backyard lawn. This volleyball net system is designed with premium, telescopic aluminum poles that measure 1-3/4" in diameter. These 2-piece poles feature a push-button locking system, allowing you to easily adjust the net to men's (8'), women's (7' 4") and co-ed (7' 8") playing heights. The Park & Sun Sports Spectrum 2000 volleyball net system features our regulation size Spectrum net, which measures 32' L x 3' H, and is pre-attached to the poles. This nylon blend net has 2" top and bottom tapes with reinforced corners, and is equipped with convenient side sleeves, which distributes the net tension evenly from the top to the bottom of the net. Nylon blend netting is superior at withstanding harsh weather compared to lower-end polyethylene (PE) nets, so you can enjoy the game for years to come. The 1/4" double guyline with tension rings allow for quick adjustments that ensure the net remains taut, even during rough play. For added stability, (4) 10" forged steel ground stakes are also included. Define your court with the 1/4" diameter, pre-measured boundary (60' L x 30' W) which is firmly secured to the ground with corner anchors. When not in use, the cord winder keeps everything wrapped up without tangles. This entire set fits inside a heavy-duty polyester zippered equipment bag with carrying handles; making transporting and storing extremely convenient.

I have two net systems. One is this Brine monstrosity that can actually go ABOVE 8' if I wanted it to. That thing's actually awesome as far as play out of the net goes too. But it is a bastard to set up. Somebody asked to borrow my net, and I lent them that one. Upon opening the bag they said "oh, it's THAT net" and they didn't even play. I think that was a bit of an overreaction, but I get it. That net would be great for use in Center Court at a tournament. Something where it would be featured and the used for several hours consecutively. What THIS net has going for it is that it's good to go super quickly. Most grass tournaments I play in use this net for that reason. When I'm meeting up with friends, we use this net for that reason. Here are the negative, in ascending order:* The play out of the net is inconsistent.* Let serves can completely die on this net. Free bogus point.* It doesn't reach 8'.The workarounds:- When I play with my friends let serves on this net are like tennis. They just didn't happen. Serve again. When there's a taut wire (Brine system) at the top of the net allowing let serves makes more sense, though I still think the tennis rule is the way to go. Unfortunately, most tournaments allow let aces even with this net.- In the tournaments I play in they've added wooden blocks (with a pole-sized hole descending a little ways into the block for stability) to the bottom of the poles to make it 8'.Suggestion to Park & Sun:Make the poles longer! We can lower the net on the poles if we have to. But with poles that are too short we have to use non-optimal solutions like self made wooden blocks to extend your poles. For women's and reverse co-ed tournaments we actually do exactly that. We put it on the middle hole and then lower the net a little so that it's actually women's height - rather than the below-woman's-height option provided by the women's hole on the too short poles.I run a large grass Meetup group that sets up a couple of times a week. The P&S SS2000 is a solid mid level net system, easy set up and relatively durable parts. The negatives as compared to the gold standard Spectrum Classic are:1. Thinner top and bottom tape (little less action out of the net)2. Slightly smaller polls (not a huge deal)3. Ring guy lines instead of dowel pull down (replaced with dowel ones after a week)We've been using a couple of these in addition to our Spectrum Classics, and they are fine, but hey defiantly aren't holding up as well. This will be the third year we've been using them (appx. 100x a year) and they are showing their age. The carrying bag has completely disintegrated and the tape is starting to tear a bit. But, considering we got them on sale for under 100 bones, they have been a relative bargain.Amazing quality, we use it everyday.! Must buy for anyone looking for volleyball net..I dislike the wide webbed boundaries. They are very time consuming to wap up and constantly twist. I have since bought the rope boundaries to add to my bag. This is a great net. It worked in sand no problem. The bottom of the net doesn't get supper tight, but it is by no means loose. If you do read the instructions, they say to separate the poles when not in use. Nothing against amazon, but I ended up needing another net the day of and had to go to a local store. I found another Park and Sun net, the Spectrum 1000. It was cheaper than this one, and the only differences I could find between them was the 1000 had cheaper steaks, and also came with a ball and pump. So as far as I can tell, this net is a 1000 rebranded with a higher price. I can't find the 1000 on amazon, so it must have been discontinued. With this in mind, I would say try to find the 1000, or shell out for the Spectrum Classic. The guy line broke after playing an hour. I had to tie it to the post.Park and sun make so many models. I vasilated between buying a cheaper set or spending the xtra bucks on the better grade, higher priced model. I'm sure glad I went with the Spectrum 2000. It arrived in good shape and very quickly (4days). I was not given a choice on what color.I was concerned because I read another person got an orange one. To my suprise I got a blue and thats the color I wanted. The poles were thicker and telescopic to three hights, the othes didn't offer this feature. The pins were 10 in. most others were 8 inches. This made a difference in staking out the poles in soft soil. It went up in a very short time. Very easy to take down and put up. The carry bag is convient to transport to my son's home as well as the beach. I an quite pleased and feel I got more than I even ecpected.I feel really bad the one I bought 3 years ago held up way better. I wanted a second one for my younger kids to play. I bought this for Easter 2022 and the net isn't sturdy. It is tearing apart. If I can return it I will.I received only 3 out of the four pegs that should be included for the boundary rope. After contacting Amazon, I was given 2 choices, receive a discount and keep the item or return the item for a full refund. I would have returned the item, but it’s so big that it’s not worth the effort. No way of contacting the seller to send me the missing part. I went for the discount but I’m very frustrated and disappointed with my purchase. With this pandemic and lockdown going on, going out to find/replace a peg is not easy or convenient. In my opinion, if a customer received an incomplete or defective item, the seller must make restitution by replacing the item or offering a full refund at no expense to the customer. If I have to go out of my way to replace a part that should have been there for a brand new item, then that’s not customer service.Installation très facile et rapide. Aucune pièce manquante, semble très solideI have been very happy with this vball net system. Both my girls spent countless hours over the summer playing with this net system in the back yard and made their school teams because of extra work put in. Very easy to set up. The net stayed tight and needed little adjustment.Highly recommended.really good i use it heavily till now after 5 month of use no problems. After 4 years of use it is still good like the first day I used it. Best volleyball nets in the marketGood quality nice size
